Backend-leaning full-stack engineer with 8 years of experience. Skills matrix first, then systems delivered, then employment history.
Every example below is a real, editable resume — not a screenshot. You can open any of them in the editor, keep the layout and replace the content with your own.
Backend-leaning full-stack engineer with 8 years of experience. Skills matrix first, then systems delivered, then employment history.
Design work framed as shipped outcomes. Portfolio strip above experience, with measurable results for each shipped surface.
Education above experience, coursework and dissertation given real space, and any internships presented with full context.
Operating executive with 18 years of experience. Scope, scale and measurable business outcomes lead every role.
Postdoctoral researcher with 11 peer-reviewed papers. Publications lead the CV; grants, teaching and service follow.
The safest single-column structure. Clean headings, plain bullets and every section in the order an ATS parser expects.
A resume example is a structure, not a script. Copy the shape, replace the content, and never borrow results you did not achieve.
What makes a good example useful is the shape of the sections and the level of detail in each bullet. Read a bullet and ask what kind of information it contains — a role, an action, a measurable result. Then write your own bullet with that same shape.
If an example says “reduced checkout latency by 40%”, do not write “reduced checkout latency by 40%” unless you actually did. Find the equivalent metric in your own work — a percentage, a count, a timeline, a team size — and use that instead. Recruiters can tell the difference between a real result and a borrowed phrase.
The examples lead with the strongest section for their scenario: skills for engineers, education for graduates, outcomes for executives. If your strongest asset is different from the example, reorder the sections so that asset appears first. Advoke CV's editor lets you show, hide and reorder sections in the Sections panel.
Each example uses a template chosen for the role. If you are applying to a conservative employer, use an ATS-friendly template even if the example uses a two-column layout. The template is a tool, not a claim about you.
